Facelift

Our face reflects our mood. The first changes of our facial features start to become visible after the age of 40. The temporal atrophy and the loss of the skin’s elasticity, various genetic and environmental factors, as well as, our lifestyle and everyday habits are some of the factors that are conducive to making our face look older. However, the main reasons are gravity and skin laxity, the effects of which are visible at the forehead, the eyebrows, the cheeks, the nasolabial folds, the lips, the chin and the neck.

The effects of gravity on the face and neck area can be surgically reversed through a facelift that will bring the tissue back to its natural anatomical position. A facelift can also be combined with other surgical procedures, such as the Brow lift, Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), and Lipofilling, as well as with non-surgical procedures.

Brief description of the procedure

This procedure usually requires general anesthesia. An inconspicuous incision is made right before the ear extending upwards to the hairline and downwards behind the ear. The cheek and neck tissue are lifted and the incision is closed at the end of the operation. Dr. Varnalidis uses many facelift techniques and specializes in the MACS lift that requires a smaller incision and less time and also has a remarkable and noticeable aesthetic outcome.

Dr. Varnalidis specializes in face cosmetic surgery using the latest techniques in order to achieve a permanent and natural result.
